Hello everyone,
I hope this newsletter finds you well and hope that you had a nice Easter this past weekend! We had some ham and cheesy potatoes for dinner and I got to relax a little bit with my family watching movies together. We also got to do some yard work and I took a nice long walk around the neighborhood with my mom...we are excited to see the spring flowers starting to bloom and working on getting the garden ready for some veggie planting. This super cute picture of little Morgan in our C&C onesie was sent over by her mom (thanks Jen!) and I wanted to share it with you because, not gonna lie, this is how I felt about coming back to work today after such a relaxing weekend! But mainly sharing because it's so cute :)
Whenever I send out these newsletters, I categorize them in our archives by date and topic of whatever's going on at the moment....I just saw now that this is week 5 of us being shut down and it's odd to not only realize it has been this long already but that we will be looking ahead for quite a few more weeks of this. We realize no one has gone untouched by this crisis and that it has been challenging on all fronts...but there is much to be thankful for. The crew and I are doing our best to power through and not a week goes by that we aren't grateful for your continued patronage despite all this. We are thankful for our health and continued ability to provide baked goodies for all. We are also feeling hopeful to hear on the news that social distancing measures seem to be working and happy to see people wearing homemade masks as well as other protective gear when out and about. We all definitely need to do our part for the safety of everyone in the community.
On the menu this week you'll find we swapped out some things for a few new items - just trying to keep it interesting! It has been a while since I've baked focaccia so that'll be available this week....if memory serves right, I last did a focaccia for the farmer's market almost 2 or 3 years ago. There are several savory pastry options added as well: our Rosemary Potato Gruyere pastry, a new Cheddar Chive scone, and the Chicago-Style Hot Dog pastry that we did last summer has returned. We know many of you are bummed out that baseball season is cancelled (I know my sweetie is) but that doesn't mean we have to cancel ballpark snacks, right?! This is a beloved flavor of many so we are excited to bring it back. We have also added our merchandise in the shop after some customers inquired so you'll find our totes, T's, and other C&C goods available for purchase online as well.
Ya'll know the drill by now but here's a reminder still about the ordering/pickup info for the week and a link to our online shop:
DEADLINE to place Thursday orders will be 9am WEDNESDAY
DEADLINE to place Saturday orders will be 9am FRIDAY
Both THURSDAY and SATURDAY pickups will be from 9am-1pm
Thanks for reading and talk to you soon,
Jojo
