Hello all,
Just wanted to send out a quick reminder that we are having our first Panini Night this upcoming Friday evening! My hope is that we finally get to flex our creative muscles in the hot sandwich department (at least once a month to start with) and that everyone will enjoy it as much as our First Friday Pizza & Beer nights. Honestly when you think about it, it's a shame really that we haven't made paninis before this when we have lots of great bread at our disposal. So let's change this...better late than never, right?
Here are the paninis we have planned for tomorrow night: Beef & Caramelized Onion, Chicken Bahn Mi, Bacon & Ham Cuban, as well as a Roasted Veggie & Arugula one for a non-meat option. We're gonna mix up and dress up a big fresh green salad for the sides but you can go for the Ole Salty's chips if you're not feeling the salad...that's probably what I'll end up doing :) "Music at the Market" will be happening Friday night as well, so there'll be live music by Josh Cohen for all the Rockford City Market guests to enjoy. I was checking to see who the musician for this month was and saw a Facebook video of him playing bass...he was SO good - now I'm kinda excited to hear him play in real life!
In other news, aside from planning Panini Night and our daily bread/pastry production for the shop, our focus more and more is turning towards making sure C&C's biggest event of the year goes swimmingly. The Dumpling Pop Up! will take place next weekend and it makes me really happy to see everyone getting so excited about this Lunar New Year tradition of ours. The seats for this event are filling fast so if you want to join us for a dumpling feast on February 29th, don't forget to reserve yours sooner than later! If you've already gotten tickets, thank you and I can't wait to celebrate with you!
